The Vine Hopper day ticket is the most cost effective way to experience the Stellenbosch Wine Route. You can decide on what you want to do on the different farms and pay for tastings, tours or activities as you go along.
The Eastern Route wine tour in Stellenbosch operates every day Monday to Friday and showcases some of the best wines and views Stellenbosch has to offer. Experience the splendour of the Helshoogte pass and it’s wine farms on this tour. Start your day with a unique Chocolate and wine pairing at Lanzerac, Enjoy great restaurants at Zorgvliet and Boschendal. Combine your wine tasting with a meat and cheese platter at Neil Ellis wines and treat yourself in sampling lovely wines at Le Pommier. Fantastic scenery from the pass, and lovely relaxed settings make this a must do route. . Remember, you can decide if you want to go to all 5 estates or just visit a few and stay longer at certain farms.

Wine tastings rates are not included but it ranges from R50 to R120.00 per person per tasting.
Cape Town collections can be arranged subject to availability at a once of fee. Includes return transfer.
Cape Town collections can only be done in the mornings at 8:30- 9:00 and return only after tour has ended leaving Stellenbosch at 17:15-17:30
Please be ready for pick up at your Stellenbosch Central Guesthouse 15 minutes before departure time! If no central Stellenbosch pick up address was supplied by you on booking we will meet you at the Tourism Information office at 47 Church Street.The Vine Hopper is a great way to still be independent and not linked to a group but having the comfort of being transported, enabling you to enjoy your tastings at your own time without worries of how you are getting home!
We were picked up and dropped off back at our hotel, which was very convenient for us. We changed into a larger vehicle at their office in Stellenbosch and we joined four other couples for the tour. There were four wineries open on the day we went and the driver explained clearly how he would drop us off at each one and collect us about an hour later. If we wanted extra time at any of the venues, to have a meal then we would catch the next vehicle an hour later. For us, it was an enjoyable day in the company of other holiday couples. - David
